M. Tech Admission in India is highly competitive, with thousands of eligible students applying for the few available spots each year. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is the entrance exam used to assess aptitude and knowledge of potential M. Tech candidates across India. It requires that test-takers have a good command of Mathematics and Science and includes questions from several topics across both disciplines. GATE Entrance Exam is a vital part of M. Tech Admission in India and it plays an important role in considering prospective M. Tech candidates and selecting those who are best qualified for admission into M. Tech programs across the country.
GATE is a national-level test organized for aspirants who want M. Tech Admission in India at top colleges in India such as IITs, NITs, IIITs, etc.
A candidate who is currently perusing in the 3rd year or higher of any UG degree program.A candidate who has already completed any government approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce or Arts is eligible for appearing in the GATE 2024 exam.
However, the candidates who have certification from any of the professional societies must ensure that those examinations conducted by the societies are approved by UGC/MoE/AICTE/UPSC as equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B. Planning, etc.
Candidates who are pursuing or obtained their qualifying degree from countries other than India that must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or completed their Bachelor’s degree (at least duration of 3 years) in Engineering / Technology / Science / Arts / Commerce.
Note: Students from United Arab Emirates (UAE), Nepal, Singapore, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are also eligible for GATE Exam 2023.
